Welcome to Somatics with Linda!
It can be challenging taking that first step especially when experiencing pain so give yourself kudos for beginning a new path to healing and relief.
Somatics is truly for everyone and does not require any prerequisite. It can even be done right from the comfort of your own bed! Linda will guide you through the movements so you feel instantly at ease and comfortable during your session.

Whether attending a session in person or using Zoom you will be welcomed by the other students and be put at ease with the warm and welcoming atmosphere. You’ll find everyone practicing Somatics is looking for restoration, relaxation and to improve their lives. You will feel comforted to come just as you are even if in discomfort, healing from injury or stressed.
Linda will guide the class through verbal directions as well as demonstrating movements for the entirety of the session. As she explains movements she will include information about what the positions are activating as well as things to be mindful of. She will offer modifications of movements for those with specific needs and always encourages to be gentle with your body and go at your own pace.
The beauty of Somatics is you only need a flat surface and yourself!
The only real requirement is to have some space! Make sure to have enough room that you are able to stretch your arms and legs out and the surface to be comfortable for you to lay on.
Attending using Zoom is such an easy way to make Somatics part of your life! In preparing for your Zoom session, we recommend finding a quiet place in your home that you won’t be disturbed.
For the surface you will be laying on we recommend using a place with carpet, having a yoga mat or laying on a king size bed.

After purchasing a session on the website you will receive an email with a special link to join the Zoom session.
All you need is a device that is connected to internet! A phone, tablet or laptop are all great options.
When you click on the link in the email to join the zoom session you will be guided in a few simple steps and that’s it!
